The Allen family has been an active part of the Prattville Christian Academy family for nearly a decade. With four sons, this family is always on the go! Whether it’s sporting events, extracurricular activities, or volunteering on campus, Steve and Katie are involved with and proponents of PCA’s mission to prepare Christian leaders for life.

How long has your family been a part of the PCA family?
We have been a part of PCA for eight years. Our oldest son, Tyler, graduated from PCA in 2018 and will be a Junior at Auburn University this fall. Ryan is a senior, Andrew is a junior, and Benjamin is a sophomore this year.
Why did you make the switch to PCA?
We originally made the switch with our oldest son as he was going into 7th grade. When we saw first-hand how well he adjusted, and all that PCA had to offer, we decided to move all of our boys the following school year.
What factors influenced your decision to enroll at PCA?
We always wanted our children to attend a Christian school. When we began looking at options in our area, we were drawn to the warm Christian atmosphere, college preparatory curriculum, opportunities for sports, and vision for growth in the future.
How has PCA helped your children thrive?
PCA has helped us as a family reinforce the importance of keeping God first in all aspects life. From school, social interactions, and sports, a relationship with Christ is always at the center.
What do your children like best about PCA?
Our children like many things about PCA. They have all been involved in multiple sports over their years. They love their friends, coaches , and teachers. It really is a family at PCA. Our youngest son recently experienced a traumatic injury and the teachers and staff reached out to us as much as our own family did.
What advice would you give families who are considering PCA?
There are many options in our area for Christian education. We would encourage you to take a good look at PCA. There is sure to be something for everyone and every interest to be found.
