PCA families –
I hope this email finds your family healthy and enjoying the start of a much-deserved summer break! We are excitedly making plans for the 2020-2021 school year and want to keep you updated with the latest information.
School administrators are continually monitoring state and local requirements, and remain confident that PCA will begin the new school year as scheduled. We are developing detailed plans to be prepared for whatever state public health mandates concerning COVID-19 we may encounter going forward, including traditional, blended, and flex learning scenarios. To assist us in learning more about how PCA’s distance learning model worked for our families, all returning families are encouraged to complete this 5-minute survey about how the school year ended online. All feedback is appreciated and anonymous.
Starting June 1, PCA is opening the school’s summer care program with a major focus on student and staff safety. The plan is to fully open the campus on a regular schedule with regular hours on August 11. Many precautions are being discussed and developed and will be announced over the next few weeks to keep our school sanitized while keeping students and staff safe.
We realize how important communication will be over the summer. You are encouraged to closely monitor PCA’s communication channels for continual updates regarding various areas of the school. These messages will be primarily communicated through the school’s newsletter Panther Paws, and shared in other avenues as appropriate.
Thank you for continuing to trust us with your child’s education. Your positive support during this very challenging time has been a great blessing to everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to PCA’s administrative team. We are living in unprecedented times, so no question or concern is too small to ask of us.
Preparing Christian leaders,
Ron Mitchell, Ed.D.
