Since COVID-19 began, PCA has been working with the Alabama High School Athletic Association to ensure its student-athletes are ready for the 2020-2021 sports seasons and athletic competitions. If your child plays Panther sports or is considering participating in the upcoming school year, please carefully review the information below.

Current student-athletes who played on a PCA team during 2019-2020 must update their Dragonfly accounts for the upcoming  school year using the same login credentials, including completing all required annual forms. Please do not create another account. For instructions on updating a Dragonfly account, click here. Current student-athletes with a physical expiring in May, June, or July 2020 are eligible to participate in summer activities using their current physical until July 27 or will become ineligible to participate.

Any new PCA student in grades 7-12 and all upcoming seventh-grade student-athletes must also have a documented physical and a Dragonfly account with completed documents before they are allowed to participate in any summer athletic activities. For instructions on creating a Dragonfly account and to access the required documents, click here.

PCA is hosting a Sports Physical Day on July 22. Physicals are open to any student-athlete in grades 7-12 and will be conducted by Dr. Allen of Pine Level Family Care. The cost is $25 per physical and draft forms are due via email to me by July 6. Additional information on appointment scheduling and safety recommendations due to COVID-19 will be released closer to the date. Physicals may also be completed by your child’s physician. The AHSAA physical form {link form} must be signed by an MD or DO.
