PCA’s preschool program is designed to introduce its youngest students to the world their Creator has given them to care for and enjoy through preschool-specific curriculum. Students experience a structured and academically challenging environment where teachers seek to instill Christian values. Trained teachers work to inspire creative and confident thinkers who love to learn and are not afraid to think out loud. Students are supported through the learning process as they also learn to navigate social awareness and build friendships.

PCA’s preschool program is a 5-day program for three and four-year-old potty-trained children. The full-day program is designed to nurture the development of students spiritually, emotionally, academically, physically, and socially. During formative years, it’s essential for children to build a strong foundation of basic skills, a deep sense of self and an ability to contribute to a group while encouraging curiosity about the world around them.

Because of recent growth, the program has been annexed into an adjacent building where preschool administrators and teachers are able to create a school environment ideal for young learners, including the construction of a preschool-only playground. With small class sizes, teachers are able to build a relationship with each student creating a positive school experience for first-time students.

PCA’s preschool program believes in the power of play – structured and unstructured. For many, play is regarded as the relief from more serious learning, but in reality, play is the work of childhood. The program intentionally builds on the power of play by incorporating it into all areas. Play encourages students to practice both verbal and nonverbal communication skills, respond to peer’s feelings, share materials and experiences, experiment with roleplay of the people in their home, school, and community as well as experience others’ viewpoints by working through conflict.
