Model UN is one of the many extracurricular activities that students in grades 9-12 can choose to be involved in at Prattville Christian Academy. Model UN is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and mobilizing Americans to support the principles and vital work of the United Nations and its agencies. It is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and its other multilateral bodies where students perform an ambassador role while debating relevant and timely topics applicable to actual United Nations discussions.

“Model UN has completely changed my year! When I learned about MUN, I was hesitant to join because I knew I had a problem with public speaking and got nervous about it. After meeting everyone, I instantly became involved. Model UN opens students to a world of diversity and requires the use of many skills such as respect, teamwork, public speaking, formal writing, personability, adaptability, and interpersonal relations. It has allowed me to make friends and meet people from all over the country. It has allowed me to learn more about relationships between different countries and how they interact to solve worldwide issues. Model UN has given me a chance to branch out and try something new, and I wouldn’t give it up for anything.” – PCA Student

There are more than 200 chapters across the country, and members are united in their commitment to global engagement and their belief that everyone can play a part in advancing the United Nations mission and achieving sustainable development goals.
