Rachel Arthur
Infant Teacher

Biography

Rachel Arthur serves as an infant teacher at PCA. Working with young children has always been a passion of hers, and she loves creating a warm, loving, and nurturing environment where each child feels safe, supported, and cared for as they grow and reach important developmental milestones.

Mrs. Arthur has lived in the Prattville/Millbrook area for most of her life and has been married to her husband for nearly 21 years. PCA holds a special place in her heart, as her two children, Hunter and Kayleigh, have been part of the PCA family since preschool. Hunter graduated from PCA in 2025, and Kayleigh is currently a senior. Being part of the school community that has played such an important role in her children’s lives makes serving at PCA especially meaningful to her.

Before becoming an infant teacher, Mrs. Arthur spent 25 years working in her family’s business. Although she had always dreamed of working with children, she discovered her passion for teaching while subbing at PCA. She was excited to join PCA as a full-time infant teacher in 2025 and has loved every minute of serving her students. Her hope is that every child in her classroom feels deeply loved and cared for each day while being encouraged to learn, grow, and reach their important first milestones.

Jeffery Bergdolt

Biography

Jeffery Bergdolt teaches Upper School Science. He loves that he gets to help students reach both their academic and spiritual potential while teaching at PCA. Mr. Bergdolt received a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Logistics Management. He also earned a degree in Radiologic Technology. He is married to Jan Bergdolt and they have three children; Charlie, Abbie, and John David. They attend First Baptist Church in Prattville.

Whitney Blackmon

Biography

Whitney Blackmon serves as the sixth and seventh grade English teacher at Prattville Christian Academy. She holds a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in Special Education from Huntingdon College. She and her husband have one son and one daughter, and when she’s not teaching or spending time with them, she enjoys reading and outdoor adventures.

God placed teaching on her heart early in life, and she is grateful to have found a school where she can teach and share her faith with the next generation of leaders. After years of searching for a school where she could be the kind of teacher she would want for her own children, she found that PCA offered a loving, caring, and Christ-centered environment. She is grateful to be a part of the PCA family.

Lora Lee Boone teachers Spanish 1 and 2 in PCA’s upper school. She enjoys teaching about how other cultures can show students the need to share Jesus to people around the world as well as people in our community who speak another language.

Mrs. Boone earned a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University at Montgomery. She is married to John Boone and they have two children, Matthew and Andrew. They attend First Baptist Prattville where she sings in the choir and serves with the Mixtec Ministry (a ministry to a people group from Central America living in South Montgomery).

Erin Bowman teaches middle school Bible. She loves the administration, their dedication to serving the Lord, and how everyone is always willing to help. She also enjoys the students’ authenticity and motivation to do well in all areas of their lives!

Mrs. Bowman received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish and a Master’s in Education from Harding University. She is married to Randy Bowman, and they have four children, Mihaela, Noah, Lannom, and Jorja. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church, where she volunteers in the children’s ministry.

Janet Branch teaches middle school Science. She loves science and the amazing world God made. She enjoys being in PCA’s Christian atmosphere, where she can teach about His creation through science.

Mrs. Bryant earned her Bachelor of Science in Education and is beginning her 31st year in the classroom. She previously taught at PCA for six years and is excited to return to a place filled with such caring friends and coworkers.

Angela and her husband, Dave, have been married for 37 years and have one daughter, Lindsay, who lives in California. They are members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. In her free time, Angela enjoys traveling to the beach, crafting, and spending time with her husband.

Candace Burkey (Miss Candace) teaches K3. She attended Faulkner University, where she studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education. She has many years of Early Childhood Education experience and homeschooled her own children for over 10 years.  Candace started working in the lunchroom here at PCA, then became a full-time substitute. She has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the PCA family. She has served in areas such as Children’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and the Backpack Program in her local church. Candace is a mother to four amazing children Kage, Troy, Chloe and Olivia. She loves that PCA gives her the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with all who come through the doors on a daily basis.

Kaylon Cantrell teaches junior high math and serves as the head volleyball coach. She loves the Christian atmosphere and the sense of family among co-workers. “When I’m at school, whether teaching or coaching, I don’t feel like I’m at work because I love what I do, and enjoy the people that are here with me.”

Miss Cantrell received her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from Faulkner University. She attends Hunter Hills Church where she sings on the praise team, and enjoys coaching volleyball clinics and camps at the YMCA.

SaraBeth Carr serves as the ninth and tenth-grade English teacher and the Yearbook sponsor at Prattville Christian Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in English Language Arts from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Mrs. Carr and her husband, Joseph, attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church with their two sons, Henry and Jack. After spending two years at home with her children, she is excited to return to PCA—a place she deeply values for its Christ-centered environment, supportive faculty and staff, and incredible students. Robyn Davis teaches K4. Thirteen years ago, her children began attending PCA and have been positively impacted by teacher after teacher. She is now blessed to have the opportunity to teach at the school and share God’s love with her students.

She is married to Stephen Davis and they have three children, Shea, Matt and Jake. Darian serves as a preschool teacher and is delighted to be a part of PCA!

Mrs. Delashaw earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology & a Minor in Business Administration from Troy University. She is married to Tyler, and they have three children, Isabella, Brence, and Mackenzie. They attend Journey Church of the River Region. Darian began as a substitute teacher at PCA and discovered her love for the Christian environment here at PCA and being able to teach children about Jesus daily.

Mrs. DeVries earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Martin’s University with a minor in U.S. History. She previously taught 5th grade at a Christian school in California and is passionate about creating a caring classroom where students feel encouraged to learn, grow in their faith, and discover the joy of learning.
She and her husband, Chris, have five children: Micah, Juliet, Lincoln, Henry, and Levi who also attend PCA. She has enjoyed volunteering and mentoring military spouses, as well as serving in her church’s preschool ministry.

Rashawn Dickerson

Biography

Rashawn Dickerson brings more than 28 years of experience in public education to Prattville Christian Academy. A retired educator, she has served in a wide range of leadership and instructional roles, including Special Education Supervisor, 504 Coordinator, School-Based Mental Health Coordinator, Director of an Alternative Program, Assistant Principal, and classroom teacher. She currently serves as a Middle School English Language Arts teacher at PCA.

Mrs. Dickerson earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her graduate studies at Auburn University, earning a Master of Education in Educational Administration, a Master of Education in Special Education, a Master of Education in Elementary Education, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Administration.

She is a proud mother to her daughter, Morgan, and three beloved pups. Mrs. Dickerson attends New Life COGIC in Montgomery, Alabama, and is actively involved in her community. Her service includes serving as President of Autauga Elmore Developmental Services, as well as board membership with the Elmore County Family Resource Center and CARASTAR. She is also a certified trainer in Youth, Adult, and Teen Mental Health First Aid and QPR.

Education has always been Mrs. Dickerson’s calling, driven by a deep passion for making a meaningful difference in students’ lives. After retiring from public education, she recognized that her desire to teach remained strong. She is grateful to Mrs. Stough and others who encouraged her to continue that calling at Prattville Christian Academy, where faith, excellence, and a strong commitment to students align closely with her values.

Lindsey Duncan is a 6th Grade History teacher and Band Director. She is married to Tate and has one son on the way as well as a dog (Peaches) and two cats (Hank and Butters). Amy Easterling teaches Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry at PCA. She enjoys the welcoming and helpful atmosphere at PCA and is excited to have the opportunity to see her students grow both academically and spiritually.

Mrs. Easterling holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Math Education and is a retired public school educator. She and her husband attend First Baptist Church in Clanton, where she serves on the multimedia team. Mrs. Easterling is also blessed to have two grandchildren who attend the PCA preschool program, making her connection to the PCA community especially meaningful.

Mrs. Ferguson brings 18 years of experience in education, including both special education and elementary education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Collaborative Education from Troy University.
Katie is married to her husband, Brian, a retired military veteran, and together they have two daughters, Lily and Phoebe. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church, where her faith continues to shape her passion for serving others and investing in the next generation.
Mrs. Ferguson has always believed that education is about more than academics—it’s about building relationships, encouraging growth, and helping children realize their God-given potential. She was drawn to PCA because of its Christ-centered mission, strong sense of community, and commitment to partnering with families to develop students both academically and spiritually.

Mare Garunovic

Biography

Mare Garunovic teaches 3rd grade. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Biology from the University of Akron in Ohio. She ran the MAC Lab and taught computer applications at the middle school level.

Mrs. Garunovic and her husband, Bob, have two grown children who were also homeschooled throughout high school. She previously served on the leadership team in the local homeschool community and was actively involved in a homeschool cooperative for families. They currently attend Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She enjoys learning about history, education, and the Bible. She especially loves learning about God’s handiwork and pursuing things that are true, good, and beautiful. She wants to inspire students to succeed through academic and spiritual pursuits.

Lisa Hardman teaches fifth-grade Language Arts, History, Bible, and Science. Mrs. Hardman earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts and a Masters in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Montevallo. She is married to Carlton Hardman and they have three adult children Brady, Ben, Jake, and daughter in law Teresa. Mrs. Hardman is active with the W.O.W. (Women of the Word) Womens’ Ministry, and she serves on the children’s ministry team at Cain’s Chapel.

Mrs. Lisl van Heerden serves in our preschool as a teacher’s aide and is thrilled to be part of our PCA family.
She and her family relocated to the United States from South Africa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education and had the privilege to teach Kindergarten for 13 years and first grade for 10 years. She is married to Henning and has two children, Janke and Lian, and they attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church. Lisl has always had a passion for teaching; being able to make a positive impact and shaping young minds through the love of Christ is a true blessing.

Kayla Herrington is a Certified Academic Language Therapist serving in PCA’s L.I.F.T. Program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Dyslexia Therapy, with certifications through IDA, Academic Language Therapy Association, and as a Certified Autism Specialist. She is passionate about helping students discover their God-given potential through literacy and views this work as a calling. It is her joy to support students not only in their academic growth but also in their walk with Christ. She was drawn to PCA because of its mission to raise up strong Christian leaders in a close-knit, Christ-centered environment.

Robert Holt teaches high school math, IED, POE, CEA, and EDD (Engineering Academy) and sponsors the school’s Junior Civitan Club. He likes the opportunity to teach in an environment that encourages children to grow both academically and spiritually.

Mr. Holt holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in Engineering from Auburn Montgomery. He is married to Kim Holt and they have two children, Bryan (PCA class 2016) and Kendall (PCA class 2021). He attends Prattville Church of Christ.

Gennie Honel Jones

Gennie Honel Jones teaches P.E. in PCA’s lower school. She also coaches the school’s JV volleyball and softball teams, and is the assistant coach for the varsity volleyball and softball teams. She works the scoreboard for all home basketball games. She was drawn to PCA because of the great things she heard in the community about the school, especially the family atmosphere.

Coach Honel Jones earned an associate’s degree from Southern Union State Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Faulkner University. She is married to Michael, and has a bonus son. She attends Eastmont Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ivey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Huntingdon College. Kim is married to her husband, Lamar Ivey, and together they have three daughters, six grandchildren, a bonus daughter, and two dogs. She attends Centerpoint Fellowship Church, where she enjoys serving in the children’s ministry.
She was drawn back to early childhood education by her love for young learners and her passion for helping children grow in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.

Elizabeth Jackson is a Kindergarten teacher. For years, as a parent of PCA students, she was impressed with the academics and spiritual emphasis that her children received, and now she’s excited to be a part of that enticement on a daily basis.

Ms. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo. She has two children; Sera and Andy. Her family attends Coosada Baptist Church where she volunteers in the preschool and children’s departments.

Daniel Janes
Middle School Teacher / Head Track Coach

Daniel Janes serves as the sixth-grade U.S. History teacher and the seventh-grade Geography and Civics teacher at Prattville Christian Academy. He also serves as the Head Track Coach and assists with both the football and basketball teams. Mr. Janes earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Faulkner University and enjoys volunteering with local “334 Bible and Ball” basketball camps.

With a strong passion for sports and mentoring young people, Mr. Janes was drawn to PCA for the opportunity to be part of a Christ-centered school community. He is especially excited to work alongside Coach Moye in football and Coach Rob in basketball as he begins this new chapter at PCA.

Amy Jolley tutors students in the Academic Support Center. She enjoys being able to come to work everyday to interact with other Christians that try to build each other up and teach our students about our Heavenly Father.

Mrs. Jolley received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Faulkner University. She is married to Lance Jolley and they have two children, Claire Ellen and Megan. They attend Clanton Church of Christ where she serves as the Children’s Ministry Director and Secretary. She is also the Thorsby Swedish Queens’Director, and volunteers for the Relay for Life Committee in Chilton County. She also owns a small business, Pop Your Party.

Karen Jordan tutors students in grades 1-7 in the Academic Support Center. She believes in the school’s vision, so when she retired, she was a substitute teacher for a few years before accepting a part-time resource position.

Mrs. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University, two master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Administration from Troy University and Auburn Montgomery, respectively, and an Education Specialist Degree from Auburn Montgomery. She is married to Stanley, and they have three adult children and two grandchildren who attend PCA. Karen attends Prattmont Baptist Church, where she teaches and serves on various committees.

Luke Kelly

Luke Kelly serves as a math teacher in PCA’s Upper School, as well as an assistant football and wrestling coach. Mr. Kelly enjoys teaching from a Christian worldview and ensuring that each student’s spiritual growth is fostered. He is excited to be at PCA and integrate his passion for mathematics with our faith, demonstrating how mathematical principles reflect the order and beauty of God’s creation. Luke attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Economics, minoring in Leadership. Him and his wife attend Auburn Community Church.

Joy Kerr serves as a Lower School teacher. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Houghton College in upstate New York and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She attends Centerpoint Fellowship Church in Prattville.

Juliana Lawrence serves as a Kindergarten teacher and Middle School volleyball coach at Prattville Christian Academy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Troy University.

Miss Lawrence attends First United Methodist Church in Millbrook and also coaches travel volleyball for Mana Toa Volleyball. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. As a proud PCA alumna, she was drawn to return to the school because of its strong Christian foundation and the way the staff lives out the Golden Rule. Miss Lawrence is excited to give back to the PCA community that helped shape her.

Lori Roberson teaches in the Health Academy at PCA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Faulkner University and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Troy University. Mrs. Roberson previously taught at PCA from 1998–2009 and is excited to return to the PCA family. She looks forward to sharing her love of nursing with her students and helping them explore careers in healthcare. Mrs. Roberson is married to Jason Roberson, PCA’s Head Girls and Boys Basketball Coach, and they have three children—Malia, Carson, and Brady—and one grandchild, Liam. She attends Centerpoint Fellowship, where she serves on the medical team.

Candace McClendon

Candy McClendon is originally from Andalusia, Alabama. She teaches 12th-grade English, 12th-grade Honors English, 10th-grade Honors English, and a creative writing class. In addition to teaching, she is the sponsor for Model UN and co-sponsor of the junior class. She enjoys teaching English and literature, and she finds it rewarding to apply God’s principles in her classroom practices. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and reading, but most of all, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Mrs. McClendon received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education with a double major in English and history from Faulkner University and graduated with the honor of cum laude. She is married to Joe McClendon and has a step-daughter, Catrina, two step-grandsons, Logan and Chris, a daughter, Julia, married to John Mitchell, and a grandson, Everett. The McClendons have owned a business in Montgomery for almost 27 years. Mrs. McClendon still helps with the office operations of the business. She and her family attend Prattville Church of Christ, where they love worshipping with many family members and friends.

Amanda McHenry serves as a Kindergarten teacher on campus. She desires to invest in the next generation by ministering to the students’ hearts, trusting the Lord to do the work, and educating their minds to become great leaders worldwide. She is excited to fulfill the great commission alongside her colleagues.

Mrs. McHenry earned an Elementary Education degree from Faulkner University. She is married to Jason, and they have five children. They attend Marbury Baptist Church, where she teaches Sunday School, and her husband leads worship. Over the past two decades, Amanda has served in various capacities, from Family Ministry Director at Centerpoint Wetumpka to working at Pine Level Elementary School.

Chad Michael teaches eighth-grade History and ninth-grade Biology at Prattville Christian Academy. He earned a degree in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Alabama.

He and his wife, Lacey, have two children—Brinkley (11) and Bryant (9). Their family attends Coosada Baptist Church.

What drew him to PCA was the opportunity for his children to attend a Christ-centered school known for its strong academics and supportive community. He is excited to be part of a school environment that aligns with his family’s values and priorities.

Mr. Miller serves at PCA as a 10th and 11th-grade Bible teacher and is excited to continue pouring into the spiritual lives of our students. He earned his degree in Christian Education and Youth Ministry from The Baptist College of Florida and is a licensed and ordained minister.

Mr. Miller is married to his wife, Lindsey, and together they have three children that attend PCA: Easton, Copeland, and Collyns. Their family attends Glynwood Baptist Church, where he also serves as a small group leader. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys coaching and spending time deer hunting.

Mr. Miller was drawn to education because of his deep love for teaching and his passion for seeing God move in students’ lives. He especially enjoys it when students ask thoughtful questions about their faith and how to apply it to everyday life. Teaching and loving students is truly his heart, and he is proud to serve as a Bible teacher at PCA.

Matt Mims

Biography

Matt Mims teaches ninth-grade, sixth-grade, and eighth-grade boys’ History and Bible at Prattville Christian Academy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Huntingdon College in 2017 and a Master of Education in History Education from the University of West Alabama.

He is married to his wife, Sheena Mims, and they attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church.

What drew him to PCA was the opportunity to impact students’ lives by teaching them about who God is, sharing how God has blessed his own life, and instilling in them a passion for history.

Misty Reid serves in the PCA Little Panthers program. After retiring from the City of Montgomery following 33 years of service, Mrs. Reid began working part-time in the Pre-K area and quickly fell in love with the children and the opportunity to care for and nurture them. She is excited to now serve full-time at PCA and help create a happy, loving, and Christ-centered environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and loved as they learn and grow. Mrs. Reid has lived in Millbrook for approximately 17 years and is married to her husband. Together, they have four children and five grandchildren. Their two youngest children attend PCA, with their son, Sean, a senior, and their daughter, Grace, a freshman. Mrs. Reid and her family attend Coosada Baptist Church.

Shane Moye

Biography

Shane Moye serves as PCA’s Head Football Coach. He says he has enjoyed the people at PCA, the administration, faculty, and staff. He loves the core values and the strong Christian faith PCA stands for.  Coach Moye attended AUM and earned a degree in education. He and his wife Kayla have three children: Parker, Pearysn, and Wilson. They attend Centerpoint Church.

Amy Newsom

Biography

Amy Newsom teaches third grade. She loves that the leadership at PCA puts Christ at the forefront in every thing that they do everyday.

Ms. Newsom received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Faulkner and a Master’s degree from Auburn Montgomery. She has two children, Micah and Chase. They attend Hunter Hills Church where she previously served as the Children’s Minister.

Chris Puckett
Strength and Conditioning Coach / Head Softball Coach


Biography

Chris Puckett serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Head Varsity Softball Coach. Coach Puckett holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Sports and Health Sciences. He brings a great deal of knowledge and experience in both coaching softball and strength and conditioning. Previously, he served as the strength and conditioning coach for Auburn University at Montgomery, where he focused on softball for seven years and worked with all sports for an additional three years.

Tina Rendleman

Biography

Tina Rendleman teaches first grade. Mrs. Rendleman earned a Bachelor of Science in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Auburn University in Montgomery. She is married to Ryan, and they have four grown daughters, three son-in-laws, and three grandchildren. She attends Heritage Baptist Church in Prattville, serving as a Sunday school teacher and volunteering in the nursery. She has spent 29 years teaching in a variety of settings: public school, homeschool, half-day church school, and here at PCA. She loves teaching children and pouring into their lives while encouraging them to grow into the person God has made them to be. She loves PCA, especially the Christ-centered focus and the desire to honor Him in all we do.

Mrs. Reynolds earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from The University of Alabama and her master’s degree from Georgia State University, where she received dual certification in Early Childhood Special Education and Reading, along with a Reading Endorsement certification.
Mary Catherine is married to Sam Reynolds, and together they have three children: Ellis, Lewis, and Whitaker. They attend Prattville First Methodist Church.
Mrs. Reynolds is passionate about helping young children develop strong literacy skills and is excited to serve students in the Christian learning environment that PCA provides.

Terri Richardson

Mrs. Terri Bray Richardson teaches chemistry, physics, and ACT Prep.  She graduated many moons ago with an education degree with a science concentration from MS University for Women in Columbus, MS.   Mrs. Richardson has been teaching in some capacity for 30 years. She moved to Prattville from the Jackson, MS, area.  She enjoys camping, hiking, and traveling.
Mrs. Richardson has eight children, seven stepchildren, and 10 grandkids so far. Mrs. Richardson serves alongside her husband Hamilton Richardson at Sovereign Grace Church of Prattville.  Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 17:7-8, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord…”
Jason Roberson

Jason Roberson teaches Bible and serves as the head coach for both varsity basketball teams as well as the administrator for PCA’s soccer program. He enjoys the people and strong Christian atmosphere.

Mr. Roberson received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Faulkner University. He is married to Lori Roberson and they have three children, Malia, Carson and Brady. He attends Centerpoint Fellowship Church.

Lauren Rome

Biography

Lauren Rome is the Media Specialist and teaches Science Olympiad. She enjoys teaching in a Christian environment and helping children grow closer in their relationship with Christ.

Mrs. Rome received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University. She is married to Jason and they have three children, Joseph, Sam, and Annie. She attends Prattville First United Methodist where she volunteers with various youth and children’s program and activities. 

Anna Sanders

Biography

Anna Sanders teaches K2 at PCA. She is a Certified Medical Assistant and worked in the medical field for six and a half years before changing career paths to pursue her passion for education. Ms. Sanders completed her Medical Assistant Certificate through Pima Medical Institute and also attended Auburn University at Montgomery. She has long desired to work with children and was inspired to enter education by her family, many of whom work in the field. She finds great joy in helping children grow, especially in their love for Christ. Ms. Sanders attends Messiah Lutheran Church, where she teaches Sunday School for 4th–6th grade, gives children’s sermons, and helps direct children’s programs. She is also excited to be part of the PCA community, where her niece and nephew, who are in 3rd and 6th grade, attend.

Celisa Schumpert teaches lower and middle school art and Bible. Mrs. Schumpert enjoys that every aspect of education is infused with faith at PCA and looks forward to investing in students and helping them see the beauty of God’s creation through art.

Biography

Scott Schumpert serves as PCA’s Campus Minister and teaches Bible classes. Having been in youth ministry most his life, he was drawn to ministering to students and their families, as well as the faculty and staff at PCA.  Scott enjoys being a part of a family’s journey and considers it an honor to invest in their lives and watch God take them to places they never imagined.

Mr. Schumpert earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Mississippi State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Huntingdon College, and attend seminary school at Wesley Biblical Seminary and New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He is married to Celisa Schumpert and have three children, Anna Lauren, Kyle and Caroline. They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church where he’s involved in several areas, including small groups and mission teams.

Sheri Sessions teaches Upper School Art. She loves the camaraderie of coworkers that work toward one common goal.

Mrs. Sessions earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Judson College. She is married to Steven Session and they have two children, Rachael and Thomas. She attends Pintlala Baptist Church.

Steven Sessions teaches Elementary and Middle School music as well as serves as the PCA Choir Director. He most enjoys that PCA puts God first and students are encouraged to grow as leaders who serve sacrificially as Christ did for us.

Gabe Sexton teaches 8th Grade Physical Science and Science Olympiad, as well as 6th Grade Life Skills. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Troy University, with minors in Applied Health Science and Social Science. Mr. Sexton initially did not plan to pursue a career in education, but through tutoring family members and coaching baseball, he discovered how much he enjoyed working with students and helping them learn and grow. As he began exploring opportunities in education, he prayed for guidance and was excited when a friend shared PCA’s opening for a science teacher. Mr. Sexton felt the opportunity came at the right time and was excited to combine his background in science with his desire to mentor students in a Christ-centered environment. Outside of PCA, he helps coach the 9U Prattville Elite Travel Baseball Team and officiates high school football and basketball.

Kimberly Simpson teaches life science in grades 9-12. Her classes include Biology, Honors Biology, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology. In addition to teaching, she is PCA’s Cheer Director for 1st through 12th grade. She most enjoys the family atmosphere at PCA.

Mrs. Simpson received both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s of Education from the University of North Alabama. She is married to Josh Simpson and they have three children, Marlee Grace, Makenna and Tillman. She attends Coosada Baptist Church.

Shanna teaches K4. Mrs. Sims earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Troy University. She is married to Kiley Sims, and they have three sons: Bryce, Brayden, and Brennan. They attend Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where Shanna serves in the Children’s ministry and nursery. She is excited about the opportunity to work in a Christian environment where she can teach kids about Jesus and His love for them.

Trent Staggs is a Personal Finance, Government & Economics, and World History teacher. In addition to his classroom duties, he is also PCA’s Head Wrestling Coach. He enjoys the ability to teach, coach, and work in a Christian environment that considers the whole student, parent, and educator that comes through the doors of PCA.

Coach Staggs earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. He is married to Melissa, and they have two children, Will and Elijah.

Randy Stough teaches Driver’s Education, Health, and P.E. Randy enjoys working with fellow Christians at PCA who are striving to make a spiritual influence in the lives of children.

Brittani Sullivan

Mrs. Sullivan loves teaching history in a place with such strong local connections to the material, and she especially enjoys being able to share Jesus while doing so. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Malone University and her master’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University.
Mrs. Sullivan is married to Ryan, and together they have three children: Maryah, Calvin, and Joel. The Sullivans attend Central Bible Chapel in Millbrook, where they participate in various community outreach activities. As a family, they love to travel and have visited all 50 states and 25 countries between them, enjoying God’s vast and beautiful creation.

Kaitlyn Waites teaches 6th and 7th grade Math, along with 6th grade Bible. She loves to be able to speak God’s word into the students and how it feels like family here with the Christian atmosphere.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Troy University, a Master of Science in Management, and a Master of Elementary Education from Faulkner University. Her husband is Heath Waites, and they have a daughter name Olivia Jane and a mini dachshund named Jettson. Her and her husband attend Ridge Church in Wetumpka.

Mr. Werho holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ashford University. He proudly served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps and has served in various roles leading young people since separating from the military in 2012.
Eric is married to his wife, Ashley, and together they have two children, Asher and Arna. The Werho family attends Shoal Creek Baptist Church, where Mr. Werho co-leads the 11th and 12th grade Boys Connection class and hosts a boys discipleship group in their home on Sunday evenings.
Mr. Werho finds tremendous joy in discipleship and walking alongside fellow Christians in their journey toward maturity in Christ. Teaching at PCA allows him to boldly integrate Christian principles and values into a structured and disciplined academic program.

Mrs. Wheeler recently retired from Elmore County after 29 years of teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. She earned her degrees from Faulkner University and Troy University Montgomery and brings a wealth of experience and passion for education to the classroom.
Kim has been married to her husband, Todd, for 30 years, and together they have three children: Kaitlyn, Colton, and Rhett. They are active members of Elmore Church of Christ.
Mrs. Wheeler loves teaching and influencing young people and is excited to be a part of the PCA family, where she can incorporate Biblical truth into her curriculum each day.

LaTarial Williams is a Physical Education Teacher and basketball coach for PCA. She enjoys that everyone is one family and has one goal – to teach our students to mature spiritually and encourage high academic standards.

Coach Williams received an Associate of Physical Education from Snead State Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management from Huntingdon College. She is a member of Landmark Church.

Emily Wingard
Lower School Intervention


Biography

Emily Wingard serves as the Lower School Interventionist at Prattville Christian Academy, where she is passionate about helping students build confidence and discover the joy of learning. She considers it a privilege to work alongside children with a variety of learning needs, supporting their academic growth while encouraging them to grow in their faith and relationship with the Lord.

Mrs. Wingard was drawn to PCA because of its Christ-centered, family-oriented community and feels blessed to partner with families in helping every child reach their God-given potential.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education from Huntingdon College in 2015. She has completed IMSE Dyslexia Intervention training and is currently pursuing her Master of Education at Faulkner University.

Mrs. Wingard is married to her husband, Mac, and together they have two children, Emmett and Ivy. Their family attends Shoal Creek Baptist Church.

Erin Woodfin

Biography

Erin Woodfin serves as a second-grade teacher at Prattville Christian Academy. She recently earned her degree in Elementary Education from Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Woodfin is happily married to her husband, Benjamin, and they are active members of Tri-City Baptist Church. During her student teaching experience at PCA, she was deeply inspired by the school’s supportive and caring atmosphere—where faculty, staff, and students are committed to helping one another succeed. Mrs. Woodfin is excited to join the PCA team and begin her teaching journey in such a Christ-centered environment.
