Jason Roberson can always be found somewhere on campus! Whether it’s teaching, coaching, playing a pick-up game of basketball after school, or helping a student-athlete strengthen their game on the weekends, Coach Roberson is always around. The name Jason Roberson is synonymous with Prattville Christian Academy, as most people can’t think about one without the other. Jason, or Coach Rob, as many people know him, has been at PCA for almost as long as the doors have been open. He’s served in various roles for 19 years – 18 of those years consecutively after leaving for another job and returning the following school year.

Coach Roberson entered education because he was “really intrigued with the idea of helping kids reach their potential by using their God-given talents and abilities. He’s among the favorite faculty members because of his love for the students. His upper school Bible classes can be found volunteering across the campus as a tangible way to teach them about God’s commands for Christians. Outside of the classroom, Coach Rob is known for his work on the basketball court. He’s been named Coach of the Year by the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA), the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), and the National Christian School Association (NCSA). His basketball record stands at an impressive 518-247 with a state championship win in 2011. Since PCA’s athletic program moved from AISA to AHSAA, he’s coached the varsity girls and boys teams to several post-season appearances.

2012: Varsity Boys State Runner-up
2013: Varsity Girls State Runner-up
2019: Varsity Girls and Boys Final Four Appearance

In addition to coaching basketball, Coach Roberson also serves as PCA’s soccer administrator, ensuring that the varsity programs have what they need to be successful on the field. On the rare occasions when he’s not on campus, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and film, running, playing putt-putt golf and ping pong, and vacationing.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Faulkner University. He is married to Lori Roberson, and they have three children who attend PCA; Malia (17), Carson (15), and Brady (14). They attend Centerpoint Fellowship Church.

When asked about what keeps him at PCA, Coach Rob talks about the people and the strong Christian atmosphere that so many, including his nearly two-decade influence, have worked to build. “I am just so thankful that God has blessed me with the opportunity to be at PCA.”
