Words for Christian Hearts – God’s Perfect Timing

 In Words for Christian Hearts

During a time of morning prayer recently, I was filled with gratitude at the thought of the dependence I have on those God places around me in life.  Through my wife, family, church family, and work family, God has blessed me with a strong support team that loves me and guides me daily. Because Christian education is a significant part of my life, my focus quickly turned to the team God has placed around me at Prattville Christian Academy.

It continues to amaze me how God answers prayers in so many ways, some obvious, and some not so obvious. From my first day at PCA, I have prayed continuously that God would bless our school with staff members that are passionate about our mission and love the students and families we serve. He has delivered in abundance as each open position was prayed upon and filled, in many cases, by the exact person needed. While faculty and staff turnover can be a challenge at many schools, God always amazes me with His provision and plan for PCA.

In addition, God has faithfully brought many strong and supportive families to PCA over the past 20 years. I can recall numerous examples where God has brought just the right family to PCA at exactly the time they were needed. Our school continues to require improvement in many areas as we work toward fulfillment of our mission and the growth of God’s Kingdom. I am thankful for the families God has provided that bring these improvements to our attention in a way that uplifts the PCA team and their children in the process. Whether it be smiles and waves at student drop off and pick up, or a warm handshake at an event, parents provide a great source of encouragement, passion, new ideas, and excitement.

Great Christian education depends on a solid partnership between families, their churches, and their school. The raising of children, the future of God’s kingdom and our great country, is a formidable task that requires teamwork in all areas. As I pen this blog, I am thankful to God for continuing to surround me and PCA with His countless blessings.

My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a powerful demonstration by the Spirit so that your faith might not be based on men’s wisdom but on God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
