PCA’s Student Government Association is excitedly preparing for a special anniversary Homecoming celebration! This year’s Homecoming week is October 24-28 and students are celebrating with a musical theme as the Panthers work to “Tune Out the Tigers” during the football game.

October 24: Upper School Volleyball Competition | 1:45 p.m. | Gym
October 25: Middle & Upper School’s Fun on the Field | 12:30 p.m.
October 26: Upper School Dodgeball Competition | 1:45 p.m. | Gym
October 28: Homecoming Parade | 2:00 p.m.
October 28: Pep Rally | 2:30 p.m. | Gym
October 28: Panthers vs. Monroe High School Tigers | 7:00 p.m.
October 28: Homecoming Court Presentation | Halftime

In celebration of the 25th anniversary, the homecoming football game will feature additional activities, including inflatables, face painting, rock climbing, and a photo booth through halftime.

Middle & Upper School’s Fun on the Field
New this year! PCA’s new 7th Grade Leadership team is hosting an extended lunch at Panther Stadium on October 25 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Students in grades 6-12 may purchase a Booster Club lunch and participate in fun games and activities. Each $7 meal includes one entree, chips, and a drink. To purchase lunch, click here to download the charge form. All forms must be returned by October 18. Candy will also be sold for cash during the event. For more information, contact Clay Boyd, Assistant Middle School Principal.

Dress-Up Days
Students in grades K3-12 are encouraged to participate! Students must bring a charitable item to participate in themed days or dress casually any day of this week by wearing this year’s homecoming shirt and donating to the day’s charity. All themed clothing must meet the casual dress code outlined in PCA’s handbook.

October 24: Rock-n-Roll Music
Students may jam out to Jailhouse Rock while wearing genre-inspired styles, including black, leather, favorite rock band gear, etc.

Items will be collected for Mercy House. Requested items include toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, soap, washcloths, combs, and brushes.

October 25: Country Music
Students may channel their inner John Denver-favorite Take Me Home, Country Roads by dressing in country and western clothing. Options include boots, jeans, pearl snaps, button shirts, cowboy hats, belt buckles, etc.

Items will be collected for the Autauga Interfaith Care Center. Requested items include Hamburger Helper, stuffing mix, instant mashed potatoes, canned fruit, canned sweet potatoes, canned spaghetti sauce, oatmeal, grits, and pancake mix.

October 26: Disco Music
Students are Stayin’ Alive with this disco-style inspired day, and may dress in colorful patterns, bell bottoms, white boots, etc.

Items will be collected for the Salvation Army. Requested items are new pairs of socks.

October 27: Jazz Music
Students are taking it easy with this blues-inspired day, and may dress in anything blue as a nod to Fats Dominos’ Blueberry Hill. There is no charitable donation requested on this day. 

October 28: Pop Music
Students are getting hyped for the big game with the song Our House by dressing Panther spirit gear. There is no charitable donation requested on this day.
