PCA Names New Middle School Assistant Principal
Clay Boyd has been named PCA’s new Assistant Middle School Principal. Mr. Boyd is returning to campus after four years of teaching U.S. History and serving as the Head Wrestling Coach at Prattville High School. While at PCA, he taught World History, Government & Economics, and Health courses while coaching various sports, including football, wrestling, track and field, and indoor track.
Mr. Boyd earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Auburn Montgomery. After eight years of classroom experience, he’s using the skills required to teach varied grade levels and coach different sports to impact PCA’s middle school students and provide another strong, Christian male presence for students of all ages to emulate on campus.
Clay is married to Victoria Boyd, a fellow educator and former PCA faculty member, and they have two children, AnnRenee (3) and Latner (1). They attend Hunter Hills Church, where he serves on the Adult Education Board and leads the men’s ministry. He is excited to be back “home” where he can express his beliefs openly and share his faith with students. “Being a follower of Christ has allowed me to create a standard for myself that is contrary to the world. I want to be able to share that with students who are discovering who they are and how their walk with Christ can change the world.”
