PCA Officially Opens New Student Center and Secondary Building Addition

 In School News

Prattville Christian Academy students officially moved into the school’s new student center and secondary building addition recently as second semester classes began following the holiday break. The multi-room expansion enhances the student experience for all PCA students by providing additional classroom space as well as the following areas.

State-of-the-art science labs that allow students to develop a curiosity for the world around them.

Large multipurpose room which houses PCA’s Tanglewood Coffee House and will serve as a space for students to relax and refuel.

Dedicated Bible department to assist in developing leaders that extend Christ’s love and empower them for His kingdom.

Expanded activity space which creates limitless opportunities for students to dream up adventures and recharge for a day of learning.

“The new addition is a great blessing made possible by many donors who support our mission of preparing Christian leaders for life,” said Ron Mitchell, PCA president. “It provides much needed space for our student body which we anticipate to be more than 700 students next year. PCA’s growth is a testament to the God-honoring work that goes on each day.”

The highlight for guests at the recent ribbon cutting ceremony was the opportunity to sample PCA’s new coffee house specialties. Tanglewood Coffee House, a uniquely purposed coffee shop, serves as a safe place for students to share their dreams as well as discover their God-given purpose in this life. Under the direction of Mary Greer, an educated counselor, students will be empowered to connect to something larger than themselves in order to make a difference in our community. “I see so much potential in PCA students and what can be done through them if we can get them to really be involved in our community now,” said Mary Greer, Tanglewood Owner and Operator. “My desire is to help whomever walks through these doors to know their purpose and receive the resources that they need to reach them.”
