 In School News

Prattville Christian Academy’s Jessica Brunk signed an athletic scholarship to play volleyball at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.

Brunk has been a huge asset for the Lady Panthers as a libero – the rearmost, roaming defensive player on the court. She was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year for the last two years. During her senior year, she contributed 237 digs, 13 kills, 44 aces and 21 assists that led the Lady Panthers to a second place finish in the area tournament which earned the team a spot in the Super Region.

“Jessica has been a part of the volleyball program since she was in 7th grade. She has always been one of our hardest workers, as well as a vocal leader on and off the court,” said Coach Kaylon Cantrell, PCA’s head volleyball coach.”She served as a team captain this past season, pushing herself and her teammates to give their all in games as well as practices. I’m so excited about this next chapter in her life.”
