Art Abandonment Project

 In School News

Have you found a beautiful piece of art on PCA’s campus yet? Some PCA’s art classes are participating in the Art Abandonment Project this year. Students will be creating works of art such as paintings, sketches, and 3D sculptures to hide around campus for the PCA community to find.

The Art Abandonment Project project was started by Michael and Andrea deMeng in 2012. The idea behind this random act of kindness is that it allows one’s art to live a life beyond its creator.

When you find a piece of artwork, you are welcome to take it or leave it for someone else to find. Throw away the label that explains what the project is and enjoy! New owners are encouraged to frame or display their new piece of art and show off your piece on social media by tagging PCA’s Facebook page.
