Important Back-to-School Information

 In School News

Welcome, Panthers! On behalf of Prattville Christian Academy, we would like to welcome all new families and returning PCA families to the one place where all information and updates pertaining to the 2020-2021 school year are located.

Due to COVID-19, all plans are subject to change based on recommended guidance so we encourage you to check back often not to miss any new or revised information.

You may also connect with PCA on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for additional updates and reminders. If you have any questions or don’t see the information you need, please contact the school office at 334.285.0077.

COVID-19 Communication Updates
PCA’s administrative team is continually monitoring state and local requirements, and remain confident that PCA will begin the new school year as scheduled on August 11. Detailed plans are being developed now to be prepared for the public health mandates required going forward, including traditional, blended, and flex learning scenarios. Click here to read the latest updates for the upcoming school year.

Summer Office Hours
Beginning June 2, PCA will open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. All visitors must enter through the Elementary Building (second building on the right as you drive on campus). You will be able to acquire general information from the receptionist, but if you need to see a specific person, you are encouraged to make an appointment to ensure their availability. The campus will close July 3-6 for Independence Day. Normal office hours will resume on August 7.

Summer Reading and Math Assignments
In an effort to keep your student’s reading and math skills sharp, PCA requires  participation in the summer reading and math program. Students in grades K3 through 2 will receive prizes for participation, while participation is mandatory for students in grades 3 through 12. Grade-level assignments are available here.

For more information, contact Kim Stephenson, Academic Director.

Summer Sports & Enrichment Camps
Due to COVID-19, enrichment camps will not be offered this summer. As crowd size and social distance restrictions are lifted, some sports camps will be scheduled in later summer.

Open House Dates
PCA’s Open House events will be virtual this year! To avoid overcrowded buildings filled with hundreds of families just before the start of the school year, PCA is restructuring these events to protect everyone. Additional details based on grade level will be available soon.

Student Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
Navigating a new school campus during peak traffic times can be confusing. To ensure safety during and effectiveness of student drop-off and pick-up times, please review PCA’s procedures related to this process. Click here to learn more as it relates to your child’s specific grade-level.

FACTS Accounts
FACTS, PCA’s communication tool, gives parents the opportunity to be more involved in a student’s academic progress and future successes via an easy-to-use software program. It allows you to view grades, attendance, homework assignments, and other useful information. You may also communicate with teachers and other school staff through this system, as necessary. Click here for instructions to set up a FACTS account.

For more information, contact Laura Ann Scott, Technology Director.

PCA Volunteers
We are seeking parent and grandparent volunteers to help with various projects and activities on and around campus during the year! When you agree to be included in our volunteer program, the only thing that you are committing to is receiving an email when a volunteer opportunity arises. Once you receive an email, you may simply reply yes or no depending on your availability and the skills necessary to complete the task.

To be added to our volunteer database, please click here. We ask that all returning volunteers complete the form as well to ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact information.

For more information, please contact Leigh Winslett, Volunteer Coordinator.
