End of The Year Recap: PCA Tennis

 In Athletics

The PCA varsity girls completed a second consecutive record-breaking tennis season, notching wins against several 6A and 7A schools, including Prattville, Stanhope Elmore, Wetumpka, and Chilton County. Other big wins came against University Charter School, Alabama Christian, and a first-time victory over Montgomery Catholic. The Lady Panthers finished the season with a record of 11-6. The program’s success continues to attract more and more players, allowing for the addition of a true JV team for the girls. The future looks bright as the JV girls competed well, posting a record of 4-2.

The varsity boys saw their team double in size this year and battled hard against players with years more experience in most matches. Our boys’ team will only improve with more matches under their belts.

With both #1 seeds, Sydney Lee and Collier Connell, returning for their senior seasons, PCA is poised for continued success in 2024.

To celebrate this year’s success, a team party was held at 17 Springs in Millbrook. Each player received a certificate for competing, and the team’s two seniors, Boston King, and Annabelle Adkins, were presented with special gifts signed by each team member and coach. In addition, the following players were recognized for individual achievement:
