Congratulations to two outstanding PCA alumni, Maddie Jeffery ’22 and Austin Jeffery ’22, who are truly making their mark in the world!

Maddie, PCA’s first National Merit Finalist, is pursuing degrees in Integrative Biology and French at Rice University. She was recently accepted into the prestigious Mayo Clinic’s Clinical Lab Work Study SLSP Program in Neuroimmunology, contributing to research directly impacting patient care at the world’s No. 1 ranked hospital. In her research assistant role, Maddie will work hands-on with patient samples, contributing to groundbreaking research in neuroimmunology. She’ll be helping refine diagnostics and advance treatments for neurological diseases like multiple sclerosis and autoimmune encephalitis. What an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the world of medicine.

Austin is pursuing degrees in Geology and German at the University of Texas. Austin has been selected for NASA’s highly competitive Student Airborne Research Program, where only 5% of applicants are selected! This eight-week internship in Virginia will allow him to gain hands-on research experience in all aspects of a scientific campaign, from field research to data analysis, and give him access to NASA’s cutting-edge science laboratories. It’s an amazing opportunity for Austin to dive deep into the world of space and earth sciences.
These two alumni are already achieving great things in their fields and giving glory to God through it all! We couldn’t be more proud of them both!
