PCA Senior Ansley Story Signs Cross Country Scholarship with AUM

 In School News

PCA coaches think senior Ansley Story is a great runner, and AUM Cross Country Coach Dr. Michael Gross apparently does as well. He is delighted to have her join the AUM team next year, and she signed her scholarship forms at PCA this week with her family and friends present to support her.

Story is currently ranked #36 in the state for senior cross country runners, with a personal record of 20:59.8 for 5,000 meters, which is a 5k, or 3.1 miles. Her best time for 3200 meters is 12:40.84, and her 1600 meter best time is 5:57.14. No matter how you slice or dice the distance, that is just plain fast!

Story was the Varsity Cross Country Captain 2012, 2013, and 2014, and also played #2 on the Varsity tennis team and #1 doubles for the last 2 years. She is a soft spoken leader and leads by example and with enormous drive. She is respected by her peers and teachers and is known for her gentle nature and competitive spirit. She also carries a 3.9 GPA, and is a member of the NHS, SADD, National Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Key Club, and FCA. PCA staff and students congratulate Ansley and wish her well with this endeavor!
