Prattville Christian Academy Breaks Ground on Building Expansion
Prattville Christian Academy officially began construction on expanding the secondary building with a groundbreaking ceremony on January 28. The secondary building expansion will enhance the PCA student experience by providing additional space for the following areas planned for use in the 2016-17 school year.
- Enriching the science exploration facilities which will allows students to develop a curiosity for the world around them.
- Expanding the Bible department will assist in developing leaders that extend Christ’s love and empower them for His kingdom.
- Improving the lunchroom capacity to better serve students allowing them additional space to relax and refuel.
- Expanding the activity space for all students which will create space for dreaming up adventures and recharge for a day of learning.
“We are extremely excited about the new addition to our school,” said Ron Mitchell, president of Prattville Christian Academy. “Many staff members, parents and community friends of PCA have given generously to make this project possible. God continues to bless us at Prattville Christian as we strive always to glorify Him.“
The highlight of the event was the recognition of Taylor Crysel, PCA sixth grader, as the honorary contractor for the day. She received this honor from a giving contest held during the fall semester. “My classmates and I are excited about the new building. We will have more room for Bible, Science and just hanging out. I can’t wait to go to class in it,” said Crysel.
