Peri Greene ’17 was recently honored at the Bryant-Jordan Student Athlete Awards Banquet in Birmingham, Alabama. Peri was selected from student athletes across Alabama as the Bryant-Jordan Scholar for Class 3A, Region 3.
The Bryant-Jordan Student Athlete Awards Banquet recognizes Alabama high school students who are considered the most outstanding among their peers because of their high level of athletic and academic success. Nomination criteria includes grade point average, class standing, college test scores, sports played, as well as student and civic leadership.
Peri maintains a 3.98 grade point average while also being active in cross country, basketball, volleyball, cheer, track and soccer as well as participating in and leading various extracurricular and church activities. After graduation, she will attend Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.
“Peri’s Christian leadership on and off the field is what you dream about in a student athlete,” said Tara Osborne, PCA’s athletic director. “With her ever-present smile, consistent hard word and encouragement of others, she’s the type of athlete you want representing your school. Peri is a true example of a selfless individual and will be greatly missed on campus next year.”
